Photography started as a necessary hobby, so I could document my work well. Most of the photographs on this website were taken by me, sometimes by my wonderful and talented partner in crime and in life, Jesse. After messing around with medium format analogue camera's quite a bit, I understood the mechanics behind and the materiality and temporality of photography. My most used camera's today are a Fuji GA645ZI and a Mamiya RZ67, and I try to develop and scan all rolls myself so stay close to the material. I now see my photography as an imporatant inherent aspect of my art practice, and not just as a hobby. However, this is a fairly new development and it has yet to find it’s shape, so for now this page is just a selection of my photographs, taken throughout the last seven years or so, that I think are good or interesting or related to my practice and to how I see the world. There is no story or perspective - yet.
